The Panhandle Behavioral Health Alliance hosted the Peace of Mind Conference regarding behavioral health, including mental health and substance abuse, on May 21, 2019. The conference included a keynote speech from Terri Bentley Hill, sharing her insights from losing a husband and daughter to suicide, a Q&A panel with experts, a resource fair and more.

On February 14, 2017 in the Amarillo City Council meeting, Mayor Paul Harpole read the attached Proclamation declaring it “Panhandle Behavioral Health Alliance Day.”
Milestone Reached for Improving Mental Health Care in the Panhandle
Mental health experts called Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, a milestone for improving how care is given across the Panhandle. The day started with the official launch of the Panhandle Behavioral Health Alliance, (PBHA) — a group tasked with creating a network of professionals to improve patient treatment. After passing its charter unopposed, the group is now focusing on creating a directory that will give current care providers better access to available resources in our area.
